Letting Go...
of what no longer serves me physically and mentally.
I love spring. The weather is transitioning to milder days. Plants start waking up. Everything starts turning bright shades of green (and yellow, with pollen). There’s a fresh feeling to the air.
And a reminder of my favorite activity: SPRING CLEANING.

It’s a ritual for me every year.
It’s also an event that causes major anxiety for Pilot. Mainly because I remove everything from closets, drawers, cabinets, and create piles…piles…and more piles….
This time, Pilot wanted me to succeed (and likely needed to quell his anxiety) and had me watch this video with him:
It was time to LET GO of certain items I had been holding onto for years/decades. A MAJOR purge took place. And since I have a love/love relationship with ChatGPT, I asked for its help to navigate the cleaning/purging/organizing process. It also gave me a useful mantra to repeat when I started getting weak or distracted:
Does this elevate me?
That pile is the ‘old version of me.’
Speaking of, as I was double checking the pages of self-help books I’m donating, I found a little piece of the old me. Something I wrote in the fall of 2023. I’ll share some of it now - the rest will be on the pod. My point: THIS IS PROOF OF THE POWER OF WRITING DOWN YOUR GOALS:
11/12/2023
“Define success one year from now:
…run a business??? Inspire people to be their BEST versions of themselves. Lead a movement.
My message: *KNOW YOUR WORTH
*TRUST YOUR GUT
*TAKE THAT RISK
*LIVE THAT DREAM”
If you’re still not sure about the power of pen to paper - my guest, Christina Thompson, will make you a believer:
I do feel lighter physically and mentally. My Instagram subscription (thank you to those who subscribed!) is also part of my “spring purging”, as I release my VLOGs. I’m almost done - and it’s time to let go of that phase of my life.
You’ve all been watching this major life decision happen in real time. As I’ve said time and time again, IT HASN’T BEEN EASY. It’s taken years to muster up the courage to actually walk away from something that no longer served me. I have sat in this career purgatory for long enough and my gut is telling me it’s time to change my messaging from “I left”…to “I’m here”. I’m a podcast host and producer, who is doing exactly what I wrote down a few years ago:
If you haven’t done your spring cleaning, allow this edition of Unscripted Dispatch be your motivation. Fill your space with one of these powerful episodes to keep you moving forward. The “spring cleaning” deadline is Sunday, June 21, when summer officially arrives.
Chat next month!

This happens to be one of my favorite things to do. Another is organizing my space. My place is pretty small, but I'm pretty good at making space, from picture hanging, to storing things neatly away. It's hard getting rid of things that you've had for so long, but I figured, if I can't use it, someone else
can. That's not your voice is it? 🤔
That’s my “excuse” for my mess. “Spring cleaning”. ✌️✌️🙄
